2, 391 Things to Keep You Entertained at the Fremont Fair

Ok, maybe there are not exactly 2,391 things to do at the Fremont Fair, BUT there is so much going on, I dare you to find something that won’t entertain you! Our music line-up is so jam-packed that it has exploded onto four stages! Puppies will take over the streets in the Dog Parade and cars are covered gadgets and gizmos to make for an art museum on wheels. To find out who will be rockin’ out on the Redhook Main Stage, the PCC Waterfront Stage, the Verizon Wine Garden Stage and the Fremont Abbey Stage over the weekend, check out the full music line-up at fremontfair.org

What else is going to entertain you at the Fair? Try these activities on for size:

PCC Natural Markets and Weber will be hosting a grilling competition on the PCC Waterfront Stage on Sunday, June 19 from 1:00pm-2:15pm. Bring dad down and watch as two female PCC chefs duel it out Top Chef Style for the ultimate King Salmon cook off!

·      Yoga for the Solstice
Grab your yoga mat and join Planet Earth Yoga as we celebrate the summer solstice with a Hatha yoga practice on the PCC Waterfront Stage! Pre-register your body and your mat so we have space for you at this one-hour session.

Celebrate Father’s Day with Your Pup at the Fremont Fair!

Sunday June 19th at the Fremont Fair is all about daddies and doggies! Bring Dad and your furry friend and down to the Fair on Sunday for a Father’s Day Dad won’t forget! Here are some activities that you, your dog and your dad will not want to miss:

Dog Parade 2:00pm Sunday June 19th
Bring your four-legged friend on Sunday to participate in this fun pup precession paralleling its human counterpart – the Fremont Arts Council’s Solstice Parade. Have Fido dress up or come al naturale! Woof woof.

                                         PCC Grilling Competition 12:30-2:15
PCC Natural Markets and Weber Grills are hosting a grilling competition on the PCC Waterfront Stage on Sunday, June 19 from 12:30 to 2:15pm. Bring your dad down to the Fair and see which PCC chef prevails

Stick around after the festivities and grab a beer with dad at one of our Redhook Beer Gardens, catch a band perform at one of our four music stages and browse for a one-of-kind gift for Dad (or even dog) from one of our 300 vendors.

There’s a lot going on Sunday at the Fair. Are YOU going to be there?

Shopping! Shopping! Shopping!

What I love about the Fremont Fair is the diverse selection of over 300 vendors that will be setting up shop over the weekend. There will be a plethora of original arts and crafts, worldly imports and services for sale for you to choose from. However, I had the tricky task of narrowing it down to my top three picks. In no particular order, here are just a few of the vendors you have got to visit:

1. Uzura- Eco-Friendly, Organic and Hemp Products
What I love about Uzura is that her products are original, wearable and made from hemp! I can’t wait to buy one of these handbags! (Not to mention this is my favorite color).

2. Spoonman Creations-Handcrafted Wind Chimes, Eyewear, Jewelry & Gifts
What can you really say about the Spoonman? His fun and funky creations speak for themselves!  A great gift idea for Dad *hint hint*.
 3. Nicaraguan Pottery by Clay Fina
Beautiful! You won’t find this kind of pottery at Pier 1 Imports. Each piece is spun on a kick wheel, glazed and burnished with a soft stone, carved with homemade tools, and low fired in a wood and charcoal kiln. The best part? Each piece is signed by the The Nicaraguan artist adding that special touch.
